I believe that we are the experts of our own lives, constantly striving to navigate and understand our changing identities and our relationship with ourselves and the world around us. I aim to provide a safe space for you to express yourself, feel empowered and gain the support you are needing to face life’s challenges. Together, we will explore your goals for therapy and discuss the ways in which you would like to experience change, growth, and healing.
I provide counselling support to clients who are experiencing anxiety and depression, suicidality and self-harm, stress, loneliness, self-esteem concerns, grief and loss, challenges with relationships, difficulty with boundaries and communication, abuse and intimate partner violence, religious trauma and PTSD, addiction and substance use, as well as cancer diagnoses and caregiver support.
I specialize in supporting clients with LGBTQ/2SLGBTQ+ identity exploration including those seeking gender-affirming and trans-inclusive care, as well as neurodiverse clients exploring how ADHD and Autism impacts their daily lives.
Using a trauma-informed and culturally-competent lens, I provide counselling support from an anti-oppressive framework that is sex and body positive, kink-friendly, and explores relationship dynamics including ethical non-monogamy and polyamory.
As a queer and non-binary therapist with over a decade of experience working with individuals, couples, and relationships in the field of mental health, I draw from a number of therapeutic modalities including: cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution-focused brief therapy, feminist and family systems theory, attachment theory, existential therapy, and narrative therapy.
I hold a B.A in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and an M.A in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors (#18518).
I invite you to reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we are a good fit for your needs. All individuals above the age of 19 are welcome.
